Inner Wheel Australia is a vibrant and passionate organisation that unites women through friendship, service, and shared values.
We are the world’s largest voluntary women’s service organisation, with more than 120,000 members in 100 countries around the globe. Any woman over the age of eighteen may join.
The five Inner Wheel Clubs in South Australia form District A70.
- Holdfast Marion (western suburbs)
- Mobilong (Murray Bridge and surrounds)
- North East Sunset (inner north eastern suburbs)
- Tea Tree Gully (north eastern suburbs)
- The Adelaide Hills (Mount Barker and surrounds)
The National Project for Inner Wheel Australia focuses on supporting Cord Blood Research.
Each year, Inner Wheel members participate in the ‘2 for 10 Walk’ any time from March to May. Members are encouraged to walk two kilometres for $10 or fundraise in other ways. Individual sponsors, fashion parades, and donations from other service clubs in the area have all helped our District raise money for this worthwhile cause.
This initiative, ongoing for over two decades, aims to fund vital medical research that explores the use of cord blood and placental tissue to treat various conditions and improve lives.
We can proudly say we have raised over four million dollars that have funded 67 research grants, that are helping treat autoimmune diseases, fight cancers and make advances in regenerative medicine.
