The Country Womens Association Coomandook Branch is a small group of women of all ages who love to get together and support local events such as market days by holding a bake stall.
They meet on the first Wednesday of the month at the Coomandook Hall from 1pm if you'd like to join their ranks!
In May they'll also be hosting a Fashion Parade with Dressed4success to get local community members together for a fun filled afternoon out. Funds raised by the Coomandook Branch go toward supporting locals as well as state level projects to help women and children.
SACWA is the largest women’s service organisation in South Australia with almost 100 branches across South Australia. Branches and committees offer many opportunities to share your skills and knowledge, learn new skills, build friendships and support the SA community.
The CWA provide valuable assistance to those in need through a wide range of financial and practical supports. Their fund raising activities enable support of women and children through the provision of financial aid through their Emergency Aid Fund. Members donate new clothes and toys for free baby parcels, given to mothers who need extra help for their new baby.
